Privacy Policy
This policy explains what worthclue.com collects when you visit, why, who we share it with and how you can control it. We have tried to write it in plain language.
1. Who is responsible
The operator of worthclue.com (“we”, “us”, “our”) decides how the information described here is used. You can reach us at any time at contact@worthclue.com.
2. What this website is
worthclue.com publishes consumer articles and sponsored content about products. When you click a link or button in an article, you leave this website and continue on the seller's own website, which has its own privacy policy. We do not take orders, process payments or ship anything.
3. What we collect
Information collected automatically. Like almost every website, our servers and our analytics record technical information each time a page is requested:
- IP address, and the approximate location derived from it (usually city or region level, never a street address).
- Browser and operating system, device type, screen size and language.
- The page you requested, the page that referred you, the date and time, and how long you stayed.
- Campaign identifiers added to the link you arrived from, so we can tell which advertisement brought you here and whether a purchase followed.
Information you choose to give us. If you email us, we keep your message and your address so we can answer.
What we do not collect on this website. We do not ask for and do not knowingly collect your name, postal address, telephone number, payment card details, government identifiers or health information. There are no forms, no accounts and no newsletter sign-ups on this site. If a page ever asks for such details, it belongs to a seller, not to us.
4. Cookies and similar technologies
Cookies are small files stored by your browser. We and our partners use them, together with pixels and similar identifiers, for:
- Measurement. Counting visits, telling repeat visits apart, and understanding which articles are read.
- Attribution. Recording that a visit came from a particular advertisement, so that the advertising network can be paid correctly, and so that a purchase can be matched to the campaign that produced it.
- Advertising. Advertising networks may set their own cookies to measure their campaigns and, in some cases, to show you relevant advertising elsewhere.
You can delete cookies and block them in your browser settings. The pages will still work. You can also install browser extensions that block tracking.
5. Who we share information with
- Advertising networks (for example native advertising platforms) receive measurement data about the campaigns that bring visitors here.
- Analytics and tracking providers process visit and click data on our behalf so we can measure performance.
- Infrastructure providers (hosting, security, content delivery) process traffic in order to serve the site and protect it from abuse.
- Sellers and merchants whose products are advertised receive the click identifier when you follow a link, so the referral can be credited. Anything you then give them is collected by them, under their policy.
- Authorities, if we are legally required to disclose information, or to establish or defend legal claims.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising in the sense used by California law.
6. Where data is processed
Our providers may process data outside your country, including in the United States and the European Union. Where required, transfers are covered by standard contractual clauses or an equivalent safeguard.
7. How long we keep it
Server logs and analytics records are kept for up to 24 months, and campaign measurement data for as long as the advertising relationship requires. Emails you send us are kept for as long as needed to deal with your request, and then deleted.
8. Your rights
If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, you may ask us to confirm what we hold about you, to correct it, to delete it, to restrict or object to its use, and to receive it in a portable format. Where we rely on consent, you can withdraw it at any time. You may also complain to your national data protection authority.
If you are in California, you may ask what categories of personal information we collected in the past twelve months, request a copy, ask us to delete or correct it, and ask us not to sell or share it. As stated above, we do not sell or share it. We will not treat you differently for exercising these rights.
To exercise any of this, write to contact@worthclue.com from the address you used, or describe the visit well enough for us to find the records. We answer within 30 days.
9. Legal basis for processing
Where European law applies, we rely on our legitimate interest in running, measuring and protecting an advertising-funded website, and on your consent where consent is required for cookies that are not strictly necessary.
10. Links to other websites
This site links to sellers and to reference sources. Once you follow a link, this policy no longer applies and we have no control over what the other site does. Please read their policy.
11. Security
The site is served over an encrypted connection and sits behind a security provider that filters abusive traffic. No website can promise perfect security, but we keep what little data we hold to a minimum, which is the best protection there is.
12. Children
This website is intended for adults. It is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has sent us information, write to us and we will delete it.
13. Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it. Material changes will be highlighted on this page.
14. Contact
